King 3B trombone-question King 3B trombone-question Posted by on December 08, 2002 at 22:47:27:I am a tuba player, but wish to learn to play trombone, and have an opportunity to buy, for $800, a King 3B trombone. It has the word 'concert' inscribed on its bell. Its serial # is 518726. The F trigger rotor casing has '12' stamped on it.

White Company. This Trombone has new oven baked on lacquer. Oven baked on lacquer is more durable and will last longer than just spray on lacquer.
The body of the Trombone is in great shape and has almost no scratches, there are a few very small ones but they would not show up in the pictures. The engraving is crisp for this era horn. The slide operates smoothly. All parts of the trombone are stamped with the appropriately matched serial numbers. This trombone has been re-lacquered and is now 99.9% perfect.Gold wash in the bell is new and about 99.9% perfect.There are no large dents anywhere on the trombone.Before restoration there was some pitting on the hand slide.The inner tubes do not have any wear on them. There is one very small ding on the inner slide.
